At Hewitt's Fiddle Shop, we have the ability to repair any stringed instrument, from ukuleles, to violins, to electric guitars. Our motto is "Never too Late to Mend". People come from all over the world with damaged or smashed instruments which would have elsewhere been deemed as beyond repair. We have a good reputation overseas and have musicians from United States, pacific islands, and all over the World that send us their work rather than get it repaired locally in their home countries. John Hewitt is a fourth generation maker and repairer, with an indisputable expert ability to fix any amount of damage to any stringed instrument. This field of expertise has been his environment from birth.

Repair of a customer's violin that was accidentally run over by a car

We have a large and extensive workshop with seven trained luthiers (violin makers and repairers) working on site. We also are equipped with spraying and polishing facilities, to restore the varnish or lacquer on any stringed instrument.
