|
Fourth generation luthier John Hewitt was originally inspired by his own
father Jock, to make hand crafted Hawaiian ukuleles. His violin-making
father received a big contract in the 1950’s to make ukuleles for
Farmers Trading Company. Following Jock’s footsteps, John and his
team have now made hundreds of ukuleles under the name “Kapono”,
which is Hawaiian language for “a little piece of heaven”
